Richfield Ice Arena

The Richfield Ice Arena located at 636 East 66th Street in Richfield, MN is home of the Richfield Spartans, and Academy of Holy Angels boys and girls hockey programs.  Richfield Arena has two regulation ice sheets both measuring at 200 x 85 ft and is open year round.  The arena includes a full scale hockey retail store called "Hat Trick Hockey" to get a stick, a new pair of shin pads, or your skates sharpened prior to hitting the ice.  The original main Rink #1 built back in 1971 has seating for over 1300 spectators, and room for another 500 fans that can watch while standing.  Adjacent to Rink #1 is the newer Rink #2 which was added in 1999 to the arena and serves as more of a practice sheet of ice.  Rink 2 has only nominal seating for only 200 fans in steel bleachers.  Richfield's youth programs have fostered many NHL and D1 players such as Steve Christoff and Darby Hendrickson, with many more to come in the future that all get their start at the classic Richfield Arena.

Richfield arena is located 5 minutes from the Mall of America in Veterans Memorial Park.  The sight includes an outdoor pool with waterslides and a zero entry wading pool with a water playfeature, an outdoor miniature golf course, picnic shelter, large handicap accessible play feature and several walking and in-line skating paths.
