Lily Lake Ice Arena is located at 1208 Greeley Street South in historic Stillwater, MN nestled right on the shores of small Lily Lake - literally within 10 feet of the lake shoreline is the buildings front entrance, with Lily Lake beach rules, and No lifeguard on duty signage affixed to the arenas exterior. Lilly Lake is a no frills arena, with one sheet of ice, that has steel bleachers within the building to cheer on local Stillwater Ponies youth hockey games. Stillwater High School boys and girls utilize the arena as a secondary practice arena, as do nearby Mahtomedi Zephyrs hockey association teams. The arena has a charming character, from the entrance small heated lobby, to the rink managers office with vintage ice sharpener, to the pucks marks that adorn the wooden back-drop wall behind the shooting net - several generations of local youth hockey players have honed their skills within this chilly 'barn' during frigid Minnesota winters.
