1941:  Cully Dahlstrom had two goals and an assist to lead the Blackhawks to a 3-2 win over the visiting Montreal Canadiens, in the third and deciding game of their Stanley Cup Quarter-Final series.

1978:  Glen Sharpley and Per Olov Brasar each scored a goal and added two assists as the Minnesota North Stars lost 4-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers at the Met Center.

1980: Minnesota's Bobby Smith scored his first NHL hat trick as the North Stars extended their team-record winning streak to 6 straight games, with a 7-2 win over the visiting Maple Leafs. North Stars took 64 shots & outshot the Leafs 29-6 in the first period.

1987:  Bob Brooke scored two goals and added an assist as the Minnesota North Stars won 6-2, at Toronto.

1987:  New Jersey won 8-2 over the Rangers to earn a franchise record 60 points in one season. Kirk Muller picked up five assists and Aaron Broten had a goal and four assists, as they both tied team records with five points.

1987:  Aaron Broten became the first player in Devils' history to get 50 assists in one season, finishing the night with a goal and four assists in an 8-2 win over the Rangers in New York.

1988:  Hosted at Bloomington Ice Gardens for the 1st time ever in Minnesota from March 25-27, the MG/WHA held the AHAUS Women's National Tournament.  Thirty of the best teams from across the United States competed in four divisions for National Championships.  Minnesota teams did very well, placing third in the A Division and fourth in two other Divisions.

1990:  Buffalo's Phil Housley picked up two assists (in a 4-3 loss to New Jersey) to set a new team record for defenseman, with 56 assists for the season; he broke the mark set by John Van Boxmeer eight years earlier.

1993:  Mike Modano scored a goal and had two assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 3-3 tie against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs.

1993:  Doug Zmolek became the first defenseman in Sharks history to get 200 penalty minutes in one season, when he picked up 15 PIM in a 5-2 loss at Philadelphia.

2001:  Minnesota Wild ended their eight-game winless streak, as rookie defenseman Willie Mitchell scored his first career goal and picked up nine penalty minutes in a 2-2 tie against the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

2001: The 1st ever NCAA sponsored Women's National Hockey Championship ended today held at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.  The format of the tournament involved 4 schools playing in single elimination to determine the NCAA Division I Champion (Frozen Four).  The University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs defeated St. Lawrence 4-2 to win the 2001 Inaugural Championship.

2004:  Pascal Dupuis tied a team record with four assists as the Minnesota Wild set a franchise record for most goals in a game (breaking the mark of 7 set in January 2004) with an 8-2 win against the Blackhawks at Chicago.

2004:  Minnesota set a team record for fastest three goals Andrei Zyuzin, wes Walz and Matt Johnson scored in a span of 1:41 during the first period of an 8-2 win at Chicago.

2004:  Minnesota's Rickard Wallin tied a team record for most points in a game by a rookie, when he scored three (with a goal and two assists) in an 8-2 win atChicago.

2004:  Marian Gaborik became the first player to get 200 points as a member of the Minnesota Wild; he reached the milestone with a goal and two assists in an 8-2 win at Chicago.

2006:  Manny Fernandez tied a Minnesota Wild team record for goaltenders with his 50th appearance of the season, a 5-1 loss to the visiting San Jose Sharks.

2009:  Marian Gaborik had two goals in and two assists to lead the Wild to a 6-2 win over the Islanders in New York.

2010:  Minnesota trailed by two goals just 4:18 into the game, but came back to beat the Flyers 4-3 in Philadelphia on Kyle Brodziak's goal at 2:33 of overtime.

2013:  Minneapolis, MN native Zach Parise had two goals and an assist and the Wild set a franchise record when eight different players recorded two or more points in Minnesota's 7-4 win at Dallas.

2014:  Blaine, MN native David Backes scored his second career hat trick as the Blues improved to 4-0-2 in their last six games against the Maple Leafs with a 5-3 win at Toronto.
