1938:  Chicago's Mike Karakas recorded his first career playoff shutout and Earl Seibert tied a team playoff record for defensemen with two goals in a 4-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens, in Game 2 of their Stanley Cup Quarter-Final Series, in Chicago.

1942:  Sam LoPresti recorded the only shutout of his playoff career as the Blackhawks won 4-0 in Boston, in Game 2 of their Stanley Cup Quarter-Final Series.  Alex Kaleta and Bill Carse set a Hawks' playoff record with two goals in :11 in the 2nd period.

1970:  Bill Goldsworthy and Tommy Williams each scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 2-2 tie against the Oakland Seals, at the Met Center.

1979:  Minnesota North Stars recorded the 100th road victory and the 300th overall victory in franchise history, 3-1 over the Rockies at Colorado.

1979:  Minnesota Golden Gophers capture the schools 3rd NCAA Hockey National Championship in a UofM win over UND 4-3. The game was held at Olympia Stadium, Detroit MI.

1981:  Minnesota North Stars set a team record with 68 shots in a 4-3 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Kings.

1985:  Defenseman Curt Giles had three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 5-3 win over Vancouver at the Met Center.
 
1990:  Minnesota's Neal Broten scored his 6th career hat trick and added an assist to lead the North Stars to a 7-6 win over the Bruins, at Boston.

1991:  Shane Churla picked up 31 penalty minutes for the Minnesota North Stars in a 5-4 loss at Chicago.

1998:  Colorado Avalanche acquired Tom Fitzgerald from Florida, in exchange for the rights to Mark Parrish and Anaheim's 3rd round pick in the 1998 Entry Draft (previously acquired).

1998:  Neal Broten, Max McNab, John Mayasich and Peter Karmanos were awarded the Lester Patrick Trophy, at a ceremony in St. Paul Minnesota.

2007:  Minnesota's rookie goalie Josh Harding made 32 saves as the Wild extended its franchise-best winning streak to 9 games and established a franchise record with 97 points, a 4-1 win against the visiting Los Angeles Kings.

2008: Minnesota took 29 shots in the third period in a 4-3 loss to the visiting Kings.

2010:  Brett Clark became the 5th defenseman to score 100 career assists as a member of the Avalanche and Peter Mueller had two regulation assists then scored in the shootout to give Colorado a 4-3 win over the visiting L.A. Kings.

2011:  Minneapolis, MN native Dusin Byfuglien set an Atlanta Thrashers record for defensemen with his 51st point of the season (an assist) in a 2-1 win over the Islanders in New York.

2014:  Defenseman (and St. Paul, MN native) Ryan McDonagh picked up his second assist of the night with 3:28 left in regulation when Dan Girardi tied the game; McDonagh then scored 1:56 into overtime to give the Rangers a 4-3 win over the visiting Coyotes.

2015:  Minnesota Wild, and Bloomington, MN native Zach Parise was named the #1 Star of the Night in the Wilds' 2-1 win with 1-goal in regulation, and the eventual shoot-out winning goal vs. the N.Y. Islanders for the MN Wild's last game at Nassau Coliseum.  With the win, Minnesota became the 1st team to win 10 straight road games in a single season since the 2007 San Jose Sharks, and lead the NHL with a 24-6-2 record since January 15th with a league best 45 points (22-5-1) in 28 games since the NHL All-Star break.

2015:  According to Elias Sports Bureau, Zach Parise scored the only goal in regulation and the lone shoot-out goal for the Wild in what was the final regular season game by a Minnesota team at Nassau Coliseum.  Zach's Father, J.P. Parise, scored both goals for the Minnesota North Stars in the 1st ever game by a Minnesota team played at the Coliseum, a 4-2 loss to the Islanders on December 23, 1972.

2015:  Minnesota Wild signed University of New Hampshire free agent Forward - Grayson Downing to a 2-year entry-level contract following the completion of his NCAA season.

2015:  Winnipeg Jets Forward, and Plymouth, MN native - Blake Wheeler had 1 goal to earn the #1 Star of the Night in the Jets' 5-2 loss to Vancouver Canucks.
