1939:  Dit Clapper scored a goal and three assists and Frank Brimsek clinched the Vezina Trophy, as Boston scored two goals in a 0:26 span of OT to reach the 20 home win milestone for the first time in team history with a 7-5 win over Montreal. 

1944:  Mike Karakas recorded his 23rd career shutout and Doug Bentley had two assists as the Chicago Black Hawks became the sixth team in NHL history to win 200 home games when they beat the visiting Detroit Red Wings 2-0 in a penalty-free game in Chicago.

1974:  Dennis Hextall scored a goal and added three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-3 win over the California Seals at the Met Center.

1978:  Tim Young and Brad Maxwell each scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 7-7 tie against the Rangers.  New Yorks' veteran Phil Esposito became just the second player in NHL history to score 1,400 career NHL points during this game at the Met Center. 

1980:  Mike Eaves scored a goal and added three assists to lead the North Stars to a 7-4 win over the Bruins in Minnesota.

1986:  Minnesota goalie Don Beaupre became the 4th goaltender in NHL history to win 14 straight games in one season and Scott Bjugstad scored 3 goals for his third hat-trick of the season (and the third of his NHL career) as the North Stars ended their 11-game road winless streak in Calgary (0-6-5) with a 6-5 win over the Flames.

1992:  Joel Otto recorded his 200th career NHL assist and the Flames were credited with their 300th home victory since moving to Calgary, 3-1 over the San Jose Sharks.

1994:  San Jose Sharks traded Doug Zmolek and Mike Lalor to the Dallas Stars in exchange for Ulf Dahlen and a future draft pick (Brad Mehalko).

1994:  Washington Capitals claimed Tim Bergland from Tampa Bay on waivers.

1996: Anaheim obtained Anatoli Semenov and Mike Crowley from Philadelphia, in exchange for Brian Wesenberg.

1999:  Damian Rhodes became the first goalie in (modern) Ottawa Senators history to win 20 games in a season. His milestone came in a 2-1 victory at Dallas.

2002:  Boston traded left wing Greg Crozier to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for left wing Darryl Laplante.

2002:  Dallas Stars traded center Joe Nieuwendyk and right wing Jamie Langenbrunner to New Jersey in exchange for center Jason Arnott, right wing Randy McKay and New Jersey's 1st-round pick in the 2002 Entry Draft.

2003:  Dwayne Roloson became the first Minnesota Wild goaltender to win 20 games in one season, after a 3-1 win over the Panthers in Florida. Pascal Dupuis led the scoring with a goal and an assist.

2004:  Jason Blake scored his second career hat trick to lead the N.Y. Islanders to a 3-1 win over the visiting Minnesota Wild.

2006:  Minnesota's Brian Rolston picked up an assist (in a 3-2 loss to the Flames) to give him 70 points for the season, a new team record. He broke Andrew Brunette's record of 69 points set in 2001-02.

2008:  Marian Gaborik scored twice to tie a team record with his 38th goal of the year, a 4-3 shootout loss at San Jose.

2011:  Colorado's Ryan Stoa (a native of Bloomington, MN) scored the shootout winner in a 3-2 shootout victory in Edmonton.

2012:  Josh Harding made 33 saves for his sixth career shutout as the Wild beat the visiting Vancouver Canucks 2-0.

2014:  Robbinsdale, MN native Blake Wheeler had two regulation assists and then scored at 1:42 of overtime to give the Winnipeg Jets a 5-4 victory over the visiting Colorado Avalanche.

2015:  Montreal Canadians Defensemen, and Bloomington, MN native - Tom Gilbert played 21:01 and had 1 assist to earn the #2 Star of the Night in the Habs' 4-0 win over Carolina Hiurricaines.

2015:  St. Louis Blues Forward, and Spring Lake Park, MN native - David Backes had 1 goal to earn the #2 Star of the Night in the Blues' 2-1 shoot-out loss to Winnipeg Jets.
