1966: Former NHL goaltender Darcy Wakaluk born in Pincher Creek, Alberta. Darcy played in the NHL 1988-1989 through 1996-1997 with Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars and Phoenix Coyotes.
1970: Bob Barlow scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-3 win over Pittsburgh at the Met Center.
1978: Minnesota North Stars traded Doug Hicks to Chicago in exchange for a player to be named later (Pierre Plante, May 4,1978).
1980: Former NHL right wing Joe Motzko born in Bemidji, Minnesota. Motzko played in the NHL 2003-04 through 2008-09 with Columbus, Washington, and Atlanta.
1983: Neal Broten picked up three assists to lead the North Stars to a 6-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks, in Minnesota.
1983: Mark Pavelich scored twice and added two assists in the Rangers' 8-2 win over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers.
1985: NHL defenseman Derek Peltier born in Plymouth, MN. Peltier has played in the NHL since 2008-09 with Colorado.
1988: Brian Bellows scored twice as the North Stars tied 2-2 with the Canadiens in Minnesota.
1992: Jon Casey recorded his 100th career NHL victory when the Minnesota North Stars beat Detroit 4-1.
1994: Cities Hockey Inc. introduces the new RHI team name: MN Arctic Blast, and the logo to the local media and the state of Minnesota. In addition to the local news and papers, owners Dennis Murphy & Ralph Backstrom were in attendance to announce the team name and that they would be playing their home games at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.
1995: New Jersey obtained Shawn Chambers and Danton Cole in trade from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Alexander Semak and Ben Hankinson.
2000: Anaheim traded defenseman Dan Trebil to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 5th-round pick in the 2000 Entry Draft (Bill Cass).
2003: Minnesota's Dwayne Roloson recorded his career-high 19th victory in a 3-1 win against the visiting Nashville Predators, in the first game in Wild franchise history where the team had no penalty minutes in the entire game.
2006: Minnesota's Kurtis Foster became the first rookie defenseman in team history to score 10 goals in a season, when he connected for the Wild in a 2-1 loss to the visiting Edmonton Oilers.
2010: Josh Harding made 36 saves and Mikko Koivu had a power play goal and two assists to lead the Wild to a 4-2 win over the visiting St. Louis Blues.
2012: Bloomington, MN native Peter Mueller scored the only shootout goal to give the Avalanche a 5-4 win at Buffalo.
2013: Washington Capitals acquired Chay Genoway from Minnesota in exchange for a conditional 7th round pick in 2014.
2013: Ondrej Pavelec made 28 saves and Minneapolis, MN native Dustin Byfuglien picked up two assists to lead the Jets to a 3-1 win over the visiting New York Rangers.
2013: 19-year-old rookie defenseman Jonas Brodin became just the second teenage defenseman to score a goal for the Wild when he picked up the first goal of his NHL career against goaltender Semyon Varlamov as the Wild beat the visiting Avalanche 5-3.
2014: N.Y. Islanders rookie (and Edina, MN native) Anders Lee scored a goal and an assist (to give him 7 goals and 4 assists in his first 10 NHL games) as the Isles lost 4-3 to the visiting San Jose Sharks.
2015: Devan Dubnyk made a season high 41-saves, and Nino Niederreiter and Kyle Brodziak scored 17 seconds apart to break a deadlock 1-1 tie in the 3rd period to guide the Minnesota Wild to a 3-1 victory over St. Louis. With the win, it marked the Wilds' 1st regulation win in St. Louis since October 20, 1997. The Wild 83 points through 69 games matched a franchise record set in 2006-2007. The win also was the clubs 7th straight win on the road matching the longest road winning streak in franchise history (November 13 - December 10, 2011)
