1964:  Former NHL defenseman Frank Musil born in Pardubice, Czech.  Musil played in the NHL 1986-87 through 2000-01 with the Minnesota North Stars, Calgary, Ottawa and Edmonton.

1968:  Claude Larose scored a goal and added an assist as the North Stars lost 3-2 to the Oakland Seals in Minnesota.

1979:  Al MacAdam scored his third career hat trick (and his first with Minnesota) in the North Stars' 5-1 win against Toronto.

1983:  NHL center Erik Christensen born in Edmonton, Alta.  Christensen has played in the NHL since 2005-06 with Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Anaheim, and the New York Rangers and the Minnesota Wild.

1985:  Paul Gagne and Aaron Broten each scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Devils to a 7-4 win over the Flyers, in New Jersey.

1986:  Buffalo's Mike Ramsey played in his 500th career NHL game when the Sabres lost 4-3 to the Whalers, at Hartford.

1988:  Minnesota North Stars traded Gord Dineen and Scott Bjugstad to Pittsburgh in exchange for defenseman Ville Siren and center Steve Gotaas.

2000:  Neal Broten removes his Dallas Stars jersey to reveal a Minnesota Wild #7 sweater when making the "Let's Play Hockey" announcement prior to the Wild's 6-0 victory over Dallas, the first appearance of the former North Stars to the State of Hockey.  This was voted by fans as the #8 'moment' in the Wild's top ten of the decade (2000-2010).

2000:  Minnesota set a team record for fastest two goals at home when Jeff Nielson and Marian Gaborik scored in a span of :48 during the first period of a 6-0 win over the visiting Dallas Stars.  Manny Fernandez recorded his third career shutout.  

2000: Richfield, MN native Darby Hendrickson scores two goals in the Wild's shutout of Dallas.

2002:  Richard Park scored the tying goal and then added the winning goal at 4:43 of overtime as the Wild won 4-3 against the visiting Edmonton Oilers.  It was the Wild's first ever win against the Oilers, ending a 12 game winless streak.

2003:  Minnesota Wild acquired winger Eric Chouinard from the Philadelphia Flyers for a fifth-round draft pick in 2004.

2003:  Minnesota's Sergei Zholtok scored his 100th NHL goal, the game winner, as the Wild won 3-2 for its first regular-season victory at Denver (after a winless streak of 0-7-1).

2005:  Rookie Kurtis Foster scored a power-play goal at 3:13 of overtime to give the Wild a team-record PPG's in 10 staight home games, and Brian Rolston had two goals and two assists in a 4-3 win over the visiting Montreal Canadiens.

2011:  Avalanche defenseman (and Bloomington, MN native) Erik Johnson scored his first goal of the year and added an assist to lead the team to a 2-1 win over the visiting Washington Capitals.
