1963: Former NHL player Al Tuer born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Tuer played in the NHL 1985-86 through 1989-90 with Los Angeles, the Minnesota North Stars and Hartford.
1971: The first ever US Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, MN employee - Roger A. Godin was hired as Executive Director (2 years before Hall opened on June 21, 1973)
1980: Former NHL defenseman David Tanabe born in Minneapolis, MN. Tanabe played in the NHL 1999-00 through 2007-08 with Carolina, Phoenix and Boston.
1982: Minnesota North Stars signed Dan Mandich as a free agent.
1983: The Minnesota North Stars announce their affiliation with Salt Lake City of the CHL.
2006: Minnesota Wild signed free agent center Wyatt Smith.
