1949: Former NHL right winger Craig Sarner born in St. Paul, MN. Sarner played in the NHL 1974-75 with Boston.
1966: Former NHL left winger Dave Snuggerud born in Minnetonka, MN. Snuggerud played in the NHL 1989-90 through 1992-93 with Buffalo, San Jose and Philadelphia.
1984: Al MacAdam traded by the Minnesota North Stars to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Harold Snepsts.
1993: New Jersey Devils traded Craig Billington, Troy Mallette and a 4th round draft pick to Ottawa in exchange for Peter Sidorkiewicz and future considerations (Mike Peluso on 6/26/93).
1994: The Minnesota Moose expansion team in the IHL moved into the clubs new executive offices located in downtown St. Paul at 28 west 6th Street (just 3 blocks from the St. Paul Civic Center).
2008: Phoenix Coyotes obtained Olli Jokinen from the Florida Panthers, in exchange for defensemen Keith Ballard and Nick Boynton, along with a second round pick (Jared Staal) in the 2008 NHL Draft.
2011: Columbus Blue Jackets named Crystal, MN native Todd Richards as their newest Assistant Coach.
2016: Minnesota Wild top AHL affilitate - Iowa Wild hired Derek Lalonde as new Head Coach.
2016: Minnesota Wild full coaching staff announced (following the hiring of Bruce Boudreau on May 7, 2016) to include: Darby Hendrickson retained as Assistant Coach; Bob Mason retained as Goaltending Coach; Jonas Plumb new Video Coach; Sean Skahan new Strength & Conditioning Coach; Andrew Brunette retained, but named to Hockey Operations Department.
