Vintage Minnesota Hockey - History

White Bear Arena is located within Lakewood Hills Park at 2160 Orchard Lane in hockey history rich White Bear Lake, MN. White Bear Arena is one of the numerous 1970's erected Ramsey County arena's that opened it's door officially in 1973. The arena is a bare-bones "no frills" classic with a small lobby upon entering the rink, and tiny makeshift locker rooms. With one regulation ice sheet, and seating for 200, White Bear is home to the Mahtomedi Zephyrs hockey teams. Outwardly, the building shares the same design as Highland, Ken Yackel, Pleasant and Biff Adams Arenas- all erected within Ramsey County during the 1970's.
