1951:  Former NHL right winger Kent-Erik Andersson born in Orebro, Sweden. Andersson played in the NHL 1977-78 through 1983-84 with the Minnesota North Stars and the New York Rangers.

1987:  NHL left wing Guillaume Latendresse born in Ste-Catherine, Que. Latendresse has played in the NHL since 2006-07 with Montreal, Minnesota, and Ottawa.

2000:  Minnesota Wild signed free agent Kai Nurminen.

2016:  Minnesota Wild signed forward Chase Lang to a three-year, entry-level contract.
