1986: Edmonton traded Don Jackson, Miloslav Horava and Mike Golden to the New York Rangers in exchange for Reijo Ruotsalainen, Clark Donatelli, Jim Wiemer and Ville Kentala.
1998: The Minnesota State University Mavericks defeated Canisius 11-3 for Head Coach - Don Brose's 500th career victory.
2000: Anaheim's Marty McInnis scored his second career hat trick (and first with the Mighty Ducks) and Matt Cullen tied a career-high with three assists in a 5-4 loss in overtime against the visiting Los Angeles Kings.
2003: Rookie Tom Preissing scored his first NHL goal, a power-play goal to help the Sharks to a 3-3 tie with the visiting Chicago Blackhawks.
2005: Minnesota's Brian Rolston picked up an assist while playing in his 250th career NHL game, a 4-2 loss at Chicago.
2008: Anaheim Ducks signed free agent defenseman Bret Hedican.
2010: Erik Johnson scored :50 into overtime and Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves to lead the blues to a 1-0 win over the visiting Penguins, and their 10th straight victory at home. It was also Halak's 10th career shutout.
2014: Minnesota Wild goaltender - Darcy Kuemper became the second goalie since 1943-1944 to record 3 shutouts in first 4 appearances - in the Wild 2-0 win over Arizona in St. Paul, MN. - other was goaltender Pasal LeClaire for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2007-2008 season. Including post season Keumper improved his record at Xcel Energy Center to 13-3-2, with a 1.61 GAA and a .937 save percentage.
