Vintage Minnesota Hockey - History

1953:  Former Minnesota Fighting Saint winger - Jeff Carlson born in Virginia, MN.  Carlson is best known for his role in the cult classic movie Slap Shot as one of the Hanson Brothers.

1994:  The newly formed Minnesota Moose of the IHL surpassed 1,000 season tickets sold prior to a game even being played. 

2000:  Minnesota Wild signed free agents Antti Laaksonen and Mike Matteucci.
