1936: Former NHL defenseman Ted Harris born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Harris played in the NHL 1963-64 through 1974-75 with Montreal, the Minnesota North Stars, Detroit, St. Louis and Philadelphia.
1975: Dave Forbes, of the Boston Bruins, was dismissed from his Minneapolis trial for aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon for his on-ice attack of Henry Boucha, of the Minnesota North Stars. The trial ended with a hung jury.
1986: The Minnesota North Stars signed Frantisek Musil.
2013: Minnesota Wild Forward(s) - Justin Fontaine (Minnesota Duluth), and Carson McMillan both re-signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild.
2015: Faribault, MN native defenseman - Seth Helgeson signed a two-year contract with the N.J. Devils (two-way in 2015-2016, one-way in 2016-2017).
