1943:  Former NHL right winger Bill Collins born in Ottawa, Ontario.  Collins played in the NHL 1967-68 through 1977-78 with the Minnesota North Stars, Montreal, Detroit, St. Louis, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia and Washington.

1961:  Former NHL forward Bill Terry born in Toronto, Ontario.  Terry played in the NHL 1987-88 with the Minnesota North Stars.

1966:  Former NHL defenseman Shaun Sabol born in Minneapolis, MN.  Sabol played in the NHL 1989-90 with Philadelphia.

1985:  Former NHL center Dan Fritsche born in Cleveland, Ohio.  Fritsche has played in the NHL 2003-04 through 2008-09 with Columbus, the New York Rangers, and the Minnesota Wild.

1993:  NHL defenseman Mike Reilly born in Chicago, IL.  Reilly has played in the NHL since 2015-2016 with the Minnesota Wild.

1995:  The Minnesota Moose lose Dave Snuggerud to the Orlando Solar Bears, and Tom Draper to the San Francisco Spiders in the IHL Expansion Draft.

2001:  Minnesota Wild reached the 16,000 mark in season tickets told.

2007:  Pittsburgh Penguins signed free agent Jeff Taffe.

2009:  Chicago Blackhawks signed free agent Mark Cullen.

2010:  Minnesota Wild named Ricard Persson an Amateur Scout based in Sweden, and Rick Bronwell as Assistant Equipment Manager.

2015:  Minnesota Wild signed Joel Eriksson Ek to a three-year, entry-level contract.
