Vintage Minnesota Hockey - History

1950:  Former NHL goalie Gilles Meloche born in Montreal, Quebec. Meloche played in the NHL 1970-71 through 1987-88 with Chicago, Oakland, Cleveland, the Minnesota North Stars and Pittsburgh.

1989:  NHL right wing Nick Palmieri born in Utica, N.Y.  Palmieri has played in the NHL since 2009-10 with New Jersey and the Minnesota Wild.

1993:  NHL defenseman Jonas Brodin born in Karlstad, Sweden.  Brodin has played in the NHL since 2012-13 with Minnesota Wild.

2011:  Minnesota Wild named Kirk Olson as their new Strength and Conditioning Coach.

2012:  Florida Panthers agreed to terms with free agent, and Bloomington, MN native C Peter Mueller on a one-year contract.

2013:  Minnesota Wild signed free agents Jonathon Blum and Jon Landry.
