1944:  Former NHL general manager Jack Ferreira born in Providence, Rhode Island. Ferreira worked as G.M. with the Minnesota North Stars, Anaheim and San Jose, starting in 1988-89.

1970:  Minnesota North Stars claimed veteran defenseman Ted Harris from Montreal and Jean-Guy Lagace from Pittsburgh in the Intra-League draft.

1970:  Minnesota North Stars named Jack Gordon as their new Head Coach.

1982:  The Buffalo Sabres selected Phil Housley 6th overall in the NHL Entry Draft (Drafted right out of High Schol with the South St. Paul Packers, and the USHL St. Paul Vulcans)

1982:  Minnesota North Stars traded Brad Palmer and David Donnelly to Boston for past considerations (Boston agreeing not to select Brian Bellows in 1982 Entry Draft).

1993:  The last moving trucks departed Bloomington, MN Met Center to make the Minnesota North Stars move to Dallas complete.

1998:  Ray Chandler named to New Arena Project Director to the future named (Xcel Energy Center Arena for Minnesota Wild).
