1956: Former NHL left winger Jimmy Roberts born in Toronto, Ontario. Roberts played in the NHL 1976-77 through 1978-79 with the Minnesota North Stars.
1971: New York Rangers obtained Bobby Rousseau from the Minnesota North Stars to complete an earlier deal for Bob Nevin (5/25/71).
1971: California Seals obtained Wayne Carleton from Boston and Stan Gilbertson from Boston in the NHL's Intra-League draft.
1983: Winnipeg Jets traded Dave Christian to Washington in exchange for Washington's first round choice (Bobby Dollas) in the 1983 Entry Draft.
1983: In the NHL Entry draft held in Montreal, the Minnesota North Stars used the #1 pick overall to acquire Brian Lawton. With the draft choice, Lawton becomes the 1st U.S. born player chosen first overall in the NHL Draft.
1983: Calgary traded Steve Christoff and Flames 2nd round pick, Frantisek Musil, in 1983 Entry Draft to the Minnesota North Stars for Mike Eaves and Keith Hanson.
1990: Minnesota North Stars named Bobby Clarke as their new General Manager, replacing Jack Ferreira whom took the GM position with the San Jose Sharks expansion team.
1992: Minnesota North Stars announced that coach Bob Gainey had gained the additional title of General Manager.
