1941: Frank Brimsek recorded his 19th career shutout as the Bruins became the 3rd team in league history to win 400 NHL games when they beat the visiting Red Wings 4-0. With the win the Boston tied an NHL record by extending their unbeaten streak to 12-0-7.
1955: Former NHL goalie Paul Harrison born in Timmons, Ont. Harrison played in the NHL 1975-76 through 1981-82 with the Minnesota North Stars, Toronto, Pittsburgh and Buffalo.
1964: Former NHL defenseman Ville Siren born in Tampere, Finland. Siren played in the NHL 1985-86 through 1989-90 with Pittsburgh and the Minnesota North Stars.
1971: Montreal Canadiens Hall of Famer Jean Beliveau scored 3 goals to run his career total to 500 goals. The milestone came on Met Center ice when he deked Minnesota goalie Gilles Gilbert and slipped the puck by him in a 6-2 victory over the North Stars.
1973: Jude Drouin scored a goal and two assists and Ted Harris added three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-3 win over Vancouver at the Met Center.
1992: As part of the Minnesota North Stars 25th Anniversary week celebration the North Stars skated down memory lane by rolling back prices to the North Stars inaugural season of 1967 on a variety of items including - Coca-Cola, coffee, peanuts, and popcorn for just .25 cents each. Hot-dogs were .50 cents, and select merchandise at $5 and $10. The North Stars faced off against the visiting Edmonton Oilers in a 5-4 North Stars loss led by a 3 point (2-1) night by Oilers Vincent Damphousse at Met Center.
1993: Goaltender Darcy Wakaluk recorded his second career shutout to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 1-0 win over the Lightning at Tampa Bay.
1997: New Jersey Devils obtained Peter Zezel from St. Louis, in exchange for Chris McAlpine and New Jersey's 9th round pick in the 1999 Entry Draft.
2001: Minnesota Wild faced Pittsburgh for the first time in franchise history and came away with a 4-2 win over the visiting Penguins. Stacy Roest scored in the second period and was named the #1 Star of the Game.
2002: Colorado Avalanche acquired veteran forward Mike Keane from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Shjon Podein.
2006: Jason Blake scored a goal to give him 200 career NHL points as the Islanders beat the Devils 2-1 in New Jersey.
2009: Zach Parise scored twice and added two assists to lead the Devils to a 4-2 win over the visiting New York Islanders.
2009: Antti Miettinen scored with 1:11 remaining in regulation to give the Wild a 2-1 win over the visiting Colorado Avalanche.
2011: Cal Clutterbuck scored twice and 37-year-old John Madden scored in the 9th round of the shootout (his first shootout attempt of the season) to give the Wild a 5-4 victory in St. Louis.
2013: Minnesota's Mikko Koivu celebrated his 500th career NHL game by scoring the game-winning shootout goal as the Wild beat the Flames 2-1 at Calgary.
