1941:  Former NHL defenseman Lou Nanne born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  Nanne played in the NHL 1967-68 through 1977-78 with Minnesota, and later became the North Stars Head Coach and General Manager.

1961:  Former NHL player Scott Bjugstad born in St. Paul, Minnesota/raised in New Brighton, MN. Bjugstad played in the NHL 1983-84 through 1991-92 with the Minnesota North Stars and Los Angeles.

1967:  Former NHL defenseman Mike Berger born in Edmonton, Alberta. Berger played in the NHL 1987-88 through 1988-89 with the Minnesota North Stars.

1975:  Minnesota North Stars named Ted Harris as their new Head Coach.

1985:  Former NHL left wing Robbie Earl born in Chicao, Illinois.  Earl played in the NHL 2009-10 with the Minnesota Wild.

1987:  NHL center Brett Sutter born in Viking, Alberta. Sutter has played in the NHL since 2008-09 with Calgary, Carolina and Minnesota.
