1949: Former Chicago Blackhawks NHL Defenseman, and Eveleth MN native John Mariucci was traded from St. Louis Flyers of the American Hockey League to Minneapolis Millers in the United States Hockey League for cash.

1972:  Team Canada defeated USSR 4-1 in Toronto in Game 2 of Summit Series.

2003:  Minnesota Wild named Tom Lynn Assistant General Manager/Hockey Operations and Tom Thompson Assistant General Manager/Player Personnel.

2009:  Minnesota Wild added four new members to their scouting staff: Craig Channell, Chris Kelleher, Pavel Routa and Marty Nanne.

2012:  John Madden officially announced his NHL retirement after 13 seasons with New Jersey, Chicago, Minnesota and Florida, and was named as a scout with the Montreal Canadiens.

2019:  The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth, MN announced it's 2019 class inductees:  Gary Bettman, Brian Gionta, Neal Henderson, Tim Thomas and Brooklyn Park, MN native - Krissy Wendell.
