1959:  Former NHL right winger Dirk Graham born in Regina, Saskatchewan.  Graham played in the NHL 1983-84 thru 1994-95 with the Minnesota North Stars and Chicago.

1982:  NHL defenseman Erik Reitz born in Detroit, Mich.  Reitz has played in the NHL since 2005-06 with the Minnesota Wild and the New York Rangers.

1983:  The Minnesota North Stars announce J.P. Parise as Head Coach of the clubs farm club in Salt Lake City of the CHL.

2014:  The Toronto Maple Leafs re-signed Minnetonka, MN native Jake Gardiner to a 5-year deal worth $20.25 Million.

2014:  The Minnesota Wild re-sign former University of Minnesota Duluth standout right-winger Justin Fontaine to a 2-year deal.

2014:  Bloomington, MN native Peter Mueller signed a 2-year, two way deal with the St. Louis Blues.
