1960:  Former NHL goalie Brian Hayward born in Georgetown, Ontario.  Hayward played in the NHL 1982-83 thru 1992-93 with Winnipeg, Montreal, the Minnesota North Stars and San Jose. He later became assistant coach with Anaheim.

1974:  Brent Flahr born in Comox, British Columbia;  In 2009-10 he was named assistant general manager of the Minnesota Wild.

1993:  Dallas Stars obtained goalie Andy Moog from Boston in exchange for goaltender Jon Casey.

1994:  Perspective season ticket holders were able to 'select their seat' at the St. Paul Civic Center for a Minnesota Moose open house prior to the start of the teams inaugural season.

1997:  National Hockey League officially approved expansion to a 30-team league by the year 2000, with the announcement of new franchises in Nashville, Atlanta, Columbus, and St. Paul, Minnesota (Minnesota Hockey Ventures Group, LP).  The return of NHL Hockey in MN was voted by fans as the #7 'moment' in the Wild's top ten of the decade (2000-2010).

2000:  Dallas traded Aaron Gavey, Pavel Patera, an eighth-round pick in the 2000 Entry Draft (Eric Johansson) and a fourth-round pick in 2002 to the Minnesota Wild, in exchange for Brad Lukowich and third and ninth-round picks in 2001.

2010:  Vancouver acquired Keith Ballard and Victor Oreskovich from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Vancouver’s 25th overall selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and Steve Bernier and Michael Grabner.

2011:  Day Two of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft was held in St. Paul, Minnesota.

2012:  Minnesota Wild re-signed two restricted free agents in Eden Prairie, Minnesota native Chad Rau to a two year deal and Stephane Veilleux to a one-year contract.  The Wild tendered qualifying offers to C Cody Almond, C David McIntyre, D Justin Falk, D Chay Genoway, G Dennis Endras, RW Carson McMillan, RW Jarod Palmer and RW Nick Palmieri.

2016:  Minnesota Wild selected forward Brandon Duhaime, forward Dmitry Sokolov and defenseman Brayden Chizen in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

2016:  Minnesota Wild made qualifying offers to centerman Zac Dalpe, defenseman Matt Dumba, centerman Tyler Graovac, goaltender Darcy Kuemper, defenseman Zach Palmquist, right winger Jordan Schroeder and left winger Jason Zucker.
